  • Initial effects of exposure to a traumatic event: overwhelm and unconscious physiological processes.
  • Intrusive thoughts, including shaming stories, post the traumatic event.
  • Use of psychoeducation.
  • Dissociation, dissociative memory, dissociation and the trauma imprint.
  • Memory channels and layers and types of dissociative memories.
  • Working with trauma: initial stages.
  • Examples of interventions used in clinical practice to metabolise and process trauma, the trauma imprint, and dissociative symptoms.
